HexEdit 5.0 Windows All	HexEdit 5.0 is a free binary file editor or hex editor. Mermy once used 'UltraEdit', but got tired of having to always pay $$$ for upgrades. Then she found 'HexEdit 3.0F' which performs very much like UltraEdit only FREE! Now, there is a version 5.0, but it lacks an install file! So the link to download takes you to a special instruction page on how to sucessfully install version 5.0. Comments - Rants Opinions - Mermaid's 2-¢ents	There are several browsers one can use for surfing the web! Not all Browsers are created equal! Worse: The worse browser one can use is "Microsoft's Edge"! It is built on Google Chrome's platform, but Microsoft has embedded into it tons of snoop and track scripts! These not only slow your browsing down, but also null and void any privacy one may think they have! An academic study found Microsoft’s Edge browser to be the least private, due to it sending device identifiers and web browsing pages to back-end servers. Microsoft Edge is one of the least private web browsers — even more so than other popular browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox — according to academic researchers. Bad: Google Chrome is also a tracking and snooping browser! Not as bad as "Edge" but one will notice they get a lot of ads both in the browser and in their e-mail that mirrors their search patterns. While Chrome proves to be a safe web browser, its privacy record is questionable. Google actually collects a disturbingly large amount of data from its users including location, search history and site visits. Good: Mozilla's Firefox is the continuation of "Netscape". Mozilla does not sell any of your web surfing activity to anyone. However, Mermaid has notice that one's web surfing is stored in the browsers cache. Better: SeaMonkey is built on the Mozilla Firefox platform. It is a little more secure than Firefox in that whenever one closes the browser, all web activity history is erased. and again no one at Mozilla is tracking nor selling one's web habits. Best: Tor Browser is also built on Mozilla Firefox platform. It is the most secure browser listed here. In fact it is so private, it may be too much for everyday browsing. It is best used for financial transctions as well as super secure browsing!
